During September of 2003, we visited New York City.
We spent time with Chris and Tracy viewing the sights and eating and riding
on Hop on Hop off busses to visit the sites of Manhatton. We visited the Statue
of Liberty, the site of the World Trade Center
and the Metropolitan Museum, etc.
The second part of our trip was a cruise to Canada. We visited
St. John, New Brunswick
and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The food was great
and the weather was good. Halifax was
hit by a huricane just
before we arrived. The parks and public gardens were closed due
to
the great number of trees that were blown down. Many traffic signals
were out of order
which made our excursions very slow going.
The ship
we sailed on was the Serenade of the Seas. It had only been in service
for about
one month.
